How to use Linkwork?

  • Click the blue icon on the top right of your screen that says ADD TO CHROME.
  • A small box will pop up. Click CONTINUE TO INSTALL.
  • Another small box will pop up to redirect you to add Linkwork. Click ADD EXTENSION to begin the installation process.
  • Below your screen, you will see the extension downloading. You can equally check the downloads information of your Chrome browser.
  • After the download is completed, you will be directed to the Linkwork welcome page.
  • To Pin Linkwork extension to the Chrome toolbar, click on CHROME EXTENSIONS on the right side of the Chrome toolbar.
  • In the opened window, you will find Linkwork and click on the pin button to pin Linkwork to the toolbar.
  • Restart Chrome after pinning the Linkwork extension.
  • Sign in to the App with your valid Google account.

When you open the Linkwork extension popup page from the toolbar, you will see the following:

  1. START A ROOM (button to start a public or private room and invite participants).
  2. Room invitation cards displaying room information (users can join or leave a room from here).
  3. When you start or join a room as a participant, your visiting page links are shared instantly and automatically with others in the room. 
  4. Linkwork does not reflect the pages to others, collect or share data from your pages.
  5. You can pause sharing your links using the pause button below the Linkwork bar. 
  6. When you start or join a room, a draggable Linkwork bar and chat window will appear on the right side of all tabs. 
  7. To sync a tab to a participant, hover your mouse over their avatar in the Linkwork bar. Afterward, click on the sync button. Your synced tab page will automatically update once the other participant changes their visiting page. 
  8. To un-sync, click on the button shown below the bar.  
  9. Pause tab syncing by clicking on the pause button below the bar. Sharing your links with others in the room will also be paused.
  10. Have a preview of participants visiting the webpage by hovering your mouse over a participant’s avatar. Their last message/comment on this page and the button to sync are also displayed.
  11. To join a room as a participant only, you have to be invited to the room by the moderator. 
  12. When invited to a room, the room card is displayed on the extension popup page. Join as a participant by clicking the JOIN button.
  13. Join a public room audience by entering the room link into the Chrome address bar and pressing ENTER. 
  14. Linkwork extension will detect the link and add you to the room as an audience.
  15. After joining the room, you will see the room card on the popup page and the Linkwork bar on all tabs.
