Interview with Omar Nasif – Chief Marketing Officer of Groupboss [2022]

I am Omar Nasif. Chief Marketing Officer(CMO) of Groupboss. I have been associated with this product since its inception.

Groupboss is Facebook group automation software consisting of chrome extension and dashboard. As an admin/moderator, you will be able to collect the answers to the questions that you have already set for your new members. Also, you will be able to collect the FB ID link. it also sends emails to your autoresponders like Mailchimp, Lemlist,Snov.io, GetResponse Activecampaign, Convertkit, SendFox, Moosend, Mailerlite, Automizy, Sendgrid, Sendinblue, Klaviyo, Hyros, Gist, Pabbly Email Marketing(PEM) and many more integrations will be added soon.

I am having a wonderful journey with Groupboss. I could learn many things and could collaborate with many influencers for the growth of this product. I must acknowledge the contribution of our users for whom we are here today. They are constantly supporting us by providing feedback and suggestions. Reviews on the Groupboss chrome extension manifests how satisfied our users are. 

Reason of creating this product

Collection of Facebook group questions answers is not an easy job. It requires much time to do that task manually. Many Facebook group owners have hired virtual assistants with higher pay rates for this task for this copy-pasting job.

We have a few Facebook groups that we manage for our business and had been looking for an automation tool to do that manual work. We found a few on the internet but those were not up to our expectations. As they have high pricing with minimal features.
From then, the idea of creating it came to our mind. Our dedicated developers made it possible within a short time. We started with a few features and very good responses from the users. We are now updating our tool and bringing many new features. 

Utilizing the Facebook group questions feature, any admin or moderator can generate leads. A Facebook group owner can set a maximum of three questions for the new members. Anyone who wants to join the group, needs to answer those questions. In any of the questions, a group admin can ask for the email address.
After that using Groupboss, those answers can be saved into Google sheet, dashboard and emails in the email marketing autoresponder.

It is very simple and straightforward to use Groupboss. It takes very less time to set up. However, we have support who are always ready to help any user in the setup process. We have all the guidelines in our support page and Groupboss YouTube channel.

So far we have had a lot of positive feedback from the users. Many users are coming to Groupboss from our competitors. 
We do not possess any historical data on the users’ lead collection and the impact on the income. However, rapid upward projection of Groupboss users indicate that Groupboss has a great impact on the users’ businesses. 

Yes, I need to pass a very schedule as I am working with multiple products. I also spend quality time with my family members. My philosophy of working with Groupboss is superior customer responsiveness. I try to solve users’ demands and queries as soon as possible. I get great support from our marketing and engineering team.

I also get great support from my life partner and other family members. This is how it becomes easy for me to maintain balance between work-life and family.

My idea on leadership is to influence my team to work efficiently not to work harder by ensuring their timely needs. Our office atmosphere is very congenial and supportive to productive work. 

Ensuring timely needs of the team help me to keep the team motivated and remain responsive.

Besides Groupboss we are also working with many new software and apps. Currently, our team is creating apps for Shopify to provide better experience to the e-commerce store owners. One of our tools, Segmently, is going to be published soon on the Shopify app store. It is currently under review. 

We are living in a fast paced technological world. We need to focus more on automation and AI. It would be wise for the entrepreneurs to focus more on technology and acquire skills on those.

To start a business, it needs a proper plan and market analysis. My suggestion would be for entrepreneurs to start with anything that will help to solve a specific pain point of the users. So, it is much necessary to analyze which pain point you will solve by introducing your app/software/tool.
