Interview with Malte Prüser, the CEO of Eternal [2023]

Hi there! My name is Malte Prüser, and I’m the founder of Eternal, your all-in-one wellness app. Eternal is for anyone, whether you’re brand new to meditation or are a seasoned expert. It’s also for anyone who needs a mental break, a soothing sound, or a peaceful night’s rest.

I’ve seen how hard times can affect people mentally firsthand, and having been on a spiritual journey myself for the past few years I wanted to share the pros of what I’ve learned help me feel better.

Just 5 minutes of meditation a day can help you calm down, relax, reflect, and reset. Having a calm and focused mind has shown over and over again that we are more productive long-term and that we form better relationships which in turn all results in having a more balanced “fuss-free” workday.

Eternal is simple, meaning everything from the user interface to the meditations is that: simple. We intentionally have not added any over-the-top features, cursory meditations, or useless stats. Instead, we have wholly prioritized our every meditation, session, and category. On top of that, we have created a pleasurable “easy-to-understand-and-use” experience, and I think those are some of the key factors that set apart our app.

Our “move” pillar consists of full-body workouts and feel-good yoga practices (more categories coming soon, stay tuned). All of our sessions are recorded and uploaded as video content, making it easy for anyone to access and view them at a time that is convenient to the user.

I practice self-awareness and mindfulness. I found that this helps me manage my work and relationships more efficiently. Another critical thing that has helped me tremendously is that I separate work and relationships, meaning family and friends are never involved in my work or career.

Definitely the human aspect; meeting new people, working with talented teachers, and managing top-tier talent.

Define what you want and why you want it. If after a thorough session of pondering and realizing that success isn’t overnight, you still want what you’re after, go for it; The answers and solutions will flow naturally if you’re truly committed.

Mine and the teams five-year goal for Eternal is to grow the app into the top #3 biggest mindfulness apps on the market, create a die-hard community and help people globally.
