Interview with Pratik Dutta, the CEO of Twib [2023]

I am Pratik Dutta, an entrepreneur and the founder of the company that has been associated with the IT industry for over two decades. I was born in a small town in West Bengal, India, but I am determined to make a name for myself in the world of IT business. I love to travel and have explored many countries. I believe that the best way to learn about a culture is to experience it first-hand, and I have tried to do that as much as possible. I love to travel and have been to many countries. I love to live my life to the fullest, I am also a big believer in the power of human connection and long-term relationship building. Being in the industry for over two decades I know that there is no shortcut to success. One has to put in the effort day in and day out, to reach their destination.

Twib is one of our premium products which has been serving many reputed clients within India as well as outside India since the last 5 years. We have clients from various fields of businesses like Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Event Management, Finance, Construction, Equipment manufacturers, Agri business and many more.

I started my career with failures, one after another, which gave me more reason to do well to prove myself, not a single idea was bad, it was just not the right time. Each of my product idea came from my personal experiences, same with Twib, when I find it’s hard to manage a sales person who works outside the office all day it’s hard to manage their work and improve on it, which gave me the idea of a sales reporting tool “Twib”, since most business owners faces the same challenges Twib quickly became a very useful tools for many businesses to manage their sales team.

Twib helps businesses in digitizing the whole sales monitoring setup. This will help management to get the info about the activities of their sales team in seconds and the sales employees also have the option to connect with their management within seconds for any operational advice or guidance. This app makes the whole process very transparent which ultimately increases sales.

Yes, being an employee activities tracking tool for sales teams, this app works uniquely to increase the profitability of any business. 

I am a big believer in work-life balance, although I work at home regularly, but when I am with my kids or family I am fully with them, I give my 100% to them, my full energy and attention, same for my work, when I am working. I try to keep my work schedule fixed so that I have a fixed time for work and fixed time for my personal life.

I came from a technical background, so it’s my 1st nature to code, I do love to code and build things, but as a CEO I do love to do strategy and planning of the businesses.

We are a small team, so we are very close to each other, I have my army of very dedicated and highly skilled team members who are the backbone of the company. We motivate each other, celebrate any events together, and be there for each other when needed.

If possible I would like to have a treadmill, sleeping pod and a massage chair in the office.

Being in this space for 5 years, we do face problems occasionally but those are not major and we do manage them efficiently as our main motto is client satisfaction. We keep on upgrading our app by implementing new features as per market’s requirement which helps us in a great way to deal with market competition.

The first step is to find a problem, the bigger the problem the bigger your solution can be, don’t try to solve a problem which is not there, find people who are facing the problem, talk to them, understand the issue, then use technology to solve it, and keep on improving it.

We like to capture more international markets, and make Twib among the top 5 in its space.
